What is Corneal Scarring?

Corneal scarring can be caused by infections, pterygium surgery, trauma, chemical injuries and Salzman’s Nodular Degeneration.

What is the treatment for Corneal Scarring?

The excimer laser can remove corneal scars in the same way it removes the superficial layers of the cornea to treat other corneal diseases. This can restore your vision and potentially avoid the need for more invasive interventions such at corneal transplants.
